Have you heard of it? Clojure is a functional language, which means that it is based on the idea of immutable data. This makes Clojure code very concise and easy to read. It is easy to integrate with Java code as it runs on the JVM. The community is large, growing, and active with lots of resources available.

Cloudsure started life in 2014 as a cloud-based compliance engine for life insurance businesses.
It soon became clear that the need for cloud-based solutions extended far beyond the compliance space and we set out to build a user-friendly, end-to-end life insurance platform that could transform the way life insurance is done globally. We’ve exceeded our own high expectations and done that.
Central to our unique value proposition is our seamless integration of group and retail life cover solutions with multi-channel distribution and self-service functionality. Innovations like payroll integration and 3rd party data calls further simplify onboarding and premium collection for the customer and provider.
Working closely with partners such as Absa Life, Old Mutual and Simply Financial Services in South Africa, we’ve been able to stress-test our platform in a competitive market that requires a mix of developed and developing market solutions.
We’re now set to extend our impact into new territories by partnering with leading local players looking to accelerate their digital life insurance journeys with a ‘turn-key’ platform partner.
